Kanye West Thinks He’s Hitler

Kanye West headlined a festival on Saturday night – but stopped mid-set to launch into a tirade against the media and his music industry peers.

Speaking to the crowd he initially sparked cheers by explaining the reason for his diva reputation. “The media likes to spin it like I’m a monster in some way, they like to get the photo of me screaming…. but they don’t realize it’s to make a better product for y’all.”

But the support of the audience quickly dissapated after his between song banter turned into a full on rant.

“They try to say hip hop is dead – it ain’t dead, people are just scared to make something real for a change,” the rapper continued. “This isn’t about money, this is about inspiration… this is about dreams.”

With a pianist playing patiently behind him Kanye continued to slam people who make music for money – at one point saying, “I just want to stand up and say “am I the only one who’s not crazy?”.”

Hmmm.

He carried on, oblivious to the waning patience of those watching. “I walk down the street and people look at me like I’m f*****g insane, like I’m Hitler. One day a light will shine and one day people will inderstand that everything I ever did, ever said was to throw myself on the blade for the sake of someone else, for the sake of people, for the sake of new Orleans, for the sake of honest music, for the sake of honest judgement.”

You can watch the rant below.

WARNING: The video does contain swear words. Duh… it’s Kanye West.
